Dr. Pat Burrage

Dr. Burrage graduated from WCVM in 1989. He spent the first half of his career owning and operating a mixed animal practice in southern Alberta. He spent the past 17 years in central Alberta, where he has owned and managed a mixed animal practice in Bluffton with 5 veterinarians, 3 registered veterinary technologists, and 4 support staff. In 2018, Dr. Burrage handed ownership of Bluffton Veterinary Services over to his young associates. Currently, he is providing veterinary consulting services for LAC to help feedlot and cow/calf clients, and providing mentorship for younger veterinarians in our practice.

Dr. Burrage is the proud father of 3 daughters, 2 of which have left the nest, and the youngest starting her college education. He spends his spare time fly fishing, chasing pheasants with his dog in the fall, coaching high school girls’ volleyball, and playing with his cows on his farm west of Bluffton. Dr. Burrage has been involved with the Alberta Veterinary Medical Association throughout his career, serving on the Food Animal Committee, Complain Review Committee, and most recently with the Council and is the past president of the association.
