Dr. Cameron French

Dr. French grew up on a farm, and seeing a vet come over to take care of an animal sparked his curiosity about veterinary medicine. For him, becoming a vet really was his dream job, and one of his fondest memories involved driving a 4×4 pickup through a blizzard to help a cow deliver her calf.

Dr. French earned his BSc in agriculture at the University of Alberta in 1984, then went on to obtain his Doctorate of Veterinary Medicine from Western College of Veterinary Medicine in 1991. For the next 3 years, he served as an associate veterinarian at Olds Veterinary Centre, a mixed animal practice in Olds, Alberta. In 1994, he joined LAC as a managing partner, treating both large and small animals until 1998. From 1998 to 2006, he focused mainly on feedlot and cow/calf practice. In 2002, Dr. French sustained a back injury. After some time off, he returned to LAC in 2015 in a limited work capacity, serving our clients as a remote consultant. He enjoys his dogs and horses, as well as occasional camping trips.
